Overview

Sheerwood Onchain is a 10K collection of fully on-chain 1024x1024 generative NFTs deployed on Ethereum Mainnet. Every character is assembled from hand-drawn trait layers stored entirely on-chain via SSTORE2 — no external URLs, no IPFS, no off-chain metadata. Each token is a unique combination of 6 trait categories across 38 hand-drawn layers, producing 19,008 possible combinations. Minting is handled through OpenSea's SeaDrop protocol with ERC-721A for gas-efficient batch minting.

The Sheerwood NFT serves as a key for governance voting, future airdrops, and exclusive alpha updates. Holders gain access to the Sheerwood ecosystem as it expands into bonding curves, token launches, and decentralized trading tools on Robinhood L2.

Technical

The contract is an ERC-721A with SeaDrop support deployed on Ethereum Mainnet. All 38 trait layers are stored as WebP images via SSTORE2 contracts, composited on-chain into a 1024x1024 SVG render at tokenURI call time. DNA encoding packs 6 trait categories into a single uint256: shoulder (1 bit), ear (2 bits), eyes (4 bits), nose (3 bits), mouth (3 bits), hair (3 bits). Minting is handled through OpenSea's SeaDrop protocol, enabling configurable pricing, allowlists, and multi-phase sales directly from OpenSea Studio.
